Stuart FL Saltwater Sailfish Report - St. Lucie Inlet Fishing Report

Stuart, Florida - Wintertime Sailfish Turn On

south of the St. Lucie Inlet is the place to be right now for sailfish action. Although the action has slowed from the crazy frenzy of early November, 1 or 2 sailfish a day seem to be the average right now. Sea conditions over the last two weeks has scattered the sailfish into between 60 to 300 feet of water, with the sailfish taking both ballyhoo and live bait. Smallish blackfin tuna and bonito of every size have been hard to avoid but if you want sailfish, right now, stick to live bait. Wahoo have been feeding on those blackfin tunas out past 300 feet. Out there, you're also likely to find the bigger packs of dolphin. Generally, the dolphin bite is scattered. There here and in good numbers, but have little interest in feeding.

As we move into the winter season more sailfish will be moving south looking for warmer waters. December brings excellent sailfish and dolphin fishing.

Sailfish, Kingfish, Bonita, Tuna, Marlin and Wahoo - they are here now! So get out on the water.

If Wahoo fishing is your thing, we have a month or so window of opportunity to target those hard fighting, good eating, speedsters.

Plenty of dates are available to get you out there for a fish of a life time. Feel free to give us a call anytime if its to book a trip or even just to get a Stuart Florida area fishing report.

The adventure begins anew. Let's go fishing.

Stuart, Florida - Epic Wintertime Sailfish Turn On

Sailfish fishing off Stuart's St. lucie Inlet is the place to be right now. Though we are not yet to the peak of sailfish season the bite just south of the St. Lucie Inlet has been crazy. A cold front pushed through last week and by mid-week the sailfish were here in mass and hungry. They had to turn on and turn on they did. Seem like many have been releasing upward to a dozen or more sailfish a day for the last couple days. Sailfish have been clobbering live baits fished on top from 100 ft. out to 240 ft.

The heavy dolphin migration is in full swing and producting hot action; Perhaps the best action I've seen in years. The dolphin are ranging from 5 to 25 pounds and are filling in the spaces between sailfish hook-ups.

As we move into the fall/winter season more sailfish will be moving south looking for warmer waters. November brings excellent sailfish and dolphin fishing.

Stuart, Florida - Wintertime Sailfish Turn On

As we move into the fall/winter season more sailfish will be moving south looking for warmer waters. November brings excellent sailfish and dolphin fishing. Bait has been plentiful, with sardines, threadfin, shad, ladyfish and blue runners. This has started the nearshore to explode with Spanish Mackerel, and their big brother, the King Mackerel. A cold front is pushing through this weekend and by mid-week the sailfish should all be hungry and aggressive.

The sailfishing has been good, most boats gettin one or two with a couple each day gettin three or four. Dolphin and Kingfish have been providing some action while waiting for the sailfish, but the bite has been spotty. Blackfin tuna are still being caught near Push Button Hill and look for kings in 60 to 100 feet with trolled ballyhoo and drifting live bait around the Push Button Hill area and south toward the Loran Tower.

Sailfish, Kingfish, Bonita, Tuna and Wahoo - they are here now! The weather looks great, so get out on the water. The heavy dolphin migration should be in full swing any time now and that should product hot action here and in The Bahamas.
